Vampire attacks, werewolf sightings, and the resurrection of an Egyptian Princess all make an appearance in Island City Stage’s 2304 N. Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors newest production of “The Mystery of Irma Vep: A Penny Dreadful” by Charles Ludlam, running today through July 10. This hilarious send-up of gothic romance and horror films, in which two actors and lightning-fast costume changes are the stars of the show, is part of the award-winning theater company’s 10th Anniversary 2021-22 South Florida Season. Directed by Andy Rogow, this entertaining production is focused on an English estate haunted by the former mistress who has recently passed (or has she?). Add-in mummies, secret identities and a ton of madcap blunders and youhave a fun filled night at the theater. Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts invite audiences to Head Over Heels, the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening, from today through June 26. Set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s and featuring a book by Jeff Whitty and adaptation by James Magruder. Tickets start at $49 and are available online at  BrowardCenter.org. $25 Student and Teacher tickets available with valid Student or Teacher ID.

Hamburger Mary’s Wilton Manors presents, direct from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 14, June Jambalaya. At 7pm they will feature their weekly RPDR viewing party and then at 8:30pm June will join the Dining with the Diva’s first show and then the second show at 10pm. If you cant make it tonight, you are in luck as June is back tomorrow, Saturday, June 11 at 8 and 10 pm.

Flotarama presents their Sailor’s Dance Pool Party at The Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Intercoastal from 2 to 6pm. Special guest DJ from San Francisco Matt Consola of Swishcraft Music. NSU Art Museum (One East Las Olas Blvd) presents Community Voices: Meet the Artist from 2:30-3:30. In this gallery talk, Lux et Veritas exhibition featured artist and advisory committee member, Leslie Hewitt will speak to the work of her peers who are also on view in the exhibition: Mamiko Ostubo, Wardell Milan, Torkwase Dyson, Mike Cloud and William Cordova in concert. This program is presented as part of the Community Voices Series, NSU Art Museum’s initiative supported by the Community Foundation of Broward, that focuses on exploring social and racial inequalities and challenging social structures, including representation in museums. Admission is free but RSVP is required.

The Eagle Wilton Manors presents a Full Moon party starring DJ Alex Ramos with a $10 cover after 10pm.

The Manor Complex Presents Festival DJ/Producer Jackinsky in the Ballroom with shows by TP Lords, Visuals, Sexy dancers and productions. In The Ivy Dance Room and Patio, Noche Latina Saturdays celebrates Puerto Rican Pride with their annual Hot Boricua Contest with Three hundred dollars in cash and prizes. The night stars Puerto Ricans Jose Manuel Vega and Natsh D Witshes Venom, along with resident DJ Duniel and sexy Latin Go-Go Papi’s. Doors open at 11pm and the cover is only $5 for FL Residents until Midnight.

Bears of South Florida presents a Pride Pool party at Ed Lugo Resort from Noon to 5pm. They expect to sell-out very quickly and they have increased capacity to 150. Tickets are $35,  and will not be sold at the gate. Ticket includes lunch. Bar & beverage service available – cash donations accepted. 50/50 raffle. Bring a towel, a chair and some sunscreen. Misty Eyez and Hotspots and Happening Out present the annual Mr. and Miss Stonewall Pageant at Eagle Wilton Manors. Doors open at 7pm and the pageant starts at 8pm sharp. The night will star last years winners Shasta McNastie and Javier Rivera, and honor the entertainers celebrating their 10th anniversary as part of the Stonewall Family 2012 winners Malik Diamond and remembering Deja Devonier who will surely be watching down from heaven. Categories are Gay Pride Presentation, Evening Wear/Gown, and Q&A for Mr. and Miss and then Talent for Miss and Swimwear for Mr. General Admission is $5, and table seats are $10. “Love, Victor” Season Three Premieres on Hulu and Disney+. This season finds Victor going on a journey of self-discovery – not only deciding who he wants to be with, but more broadly, who he wants to be. With their post-high-school plans looming, Victor and his friends are faced with a new set of problems that they must work through to make the best choices for their futures. The series stars Michael Cimino, Rachel Hilson, Anthony Turpel, Bebe Wood, Mason Gooding, George Sear, Isabella Ferreira, Mateo Fernandez, Anthony Keyvan, Ava Capri, James Martinez and Ana Ortiz.

Black Travel Summit presents Voyage in Color, a multiday global summit and celebration of Black culture in travel and the achievements of Black travel professionals, taking place from today through June 19. Key industry leaders – including Hyatt’s ​Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Vondrasek, and ​Global Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Tyronne Stoudemire will be featured during event sessions happening at Hyatt Hyatt Regency Miami. Stonewall Pride: The annual Stonewall Street Festival and Parade takes place today starting at 3pm and goes until 11pm. Over 40,000 people attended last year and this year that number is expected to increase. Come out and lets celebrate together. Here are some of the events happening on the drive:

Lit presents a Pride Indoor-Outdoor Event with Frankie P spinning inside from 4-8pm followed by ChiChi Larue spinning from 8pm to close. DJ Nitrx all day and night outside.

The Pub celebrates Stonewall Pride with the Synergy Twins performing from 5-7pm on the rooftop and then from 9-11pm inside the bar. At 11pm they feature, as seen on Worst Cooks in America, Marti Gould Cummings live with special guest Peachez.

The Eagle Wilton Manors presents a Pride Weekend Block party starring DJ’s Mogote Coyote and Paulo with a $15 cover after 9pm.

The Alibi/Monkey Bar presents a parking lotparty with DJs DJ’s Daddy & Maikelm Gogo Boys and Drag Shows. Then at 10pm inside the Alibi they present Kaleidoscope starring DJ/Producer Mark Oz.

Hunters Nightclub presents The Pussycat Doll’s Carmit “The Original Redhead” live on their outdoor stage at 10pm.

The Manor Complex presents “The Manor Pride Festival” with a massive outdoor party with 2 stages featuring their infamous stage on the drive and then the Latin stage on the side street bith open till 11pm. Inside the Manor complex will be open all day and at 10pm They will feature DJ’s Nina Flowers, Zog and Duniel in the Latin room. The Manor complex features NO COVER today as a Pride gift to the community!

Monday, June 20

Scott Stander presents Happy 100th birthday to Judy Garland with a musical celebration starring Debbie Wileman as Judy Garland with Music direction by Ron Abel at 7pm at The Parker (formerly The Parker Playhouse). Tickets are available at ParkerPlayhouse.com. For our Central Florida friends the show will be playing at The Plaza Live two days later on Wednesday June 22 at 8pm.

Sony Music Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing presents George Michael Freedom Uncut, a deeply autobiographical feature documentary narrated by the late Grammy Award winner. A poignant and moving tribute to the legacy of one of Britain’s greatest performers, in his final work George Michael reclaims the narrative of his career, personal life and controversies in collaboration with co-director, producer and friend David Austin. This feature-length documentary will be released as a global cinema event. Throughout the film, Michael reveals openly and honestly the two distinct sides of his life: his very public music career and his private personal life that cameras never truly saw. Michael was heavily involved in and dedicated to the making of this documentary before his tragic passing in 2016, making George Michael Freedom Uncut an incredibly special posthumous release and a poignant and moving tribute to his legacy. The documentary features a slew of famous faces, contributors include George Michael, Stevie Wonder, Sir Elton John, Ricky Gervais, Nile Rogers, Mark Ronson, Tracey Emin, Liam Gallagher, Mary J.
