Vampire attacks, werewolf sightings, and the resurrection of an Egyptian Princess all make an appearance in Island City Stage’s 2304 N. Dixie Highway in Wilton Manors newest production of “The Mystery of Irma Vep: A Penny Dreadful” by Charles Ludlam, running today through July 10. This hilarious send-up of gothic romance and horror films, in which two actors and lightning-fast costume changes are the stars of the show, is part of the award-winning theater company’s 10th Anniversary 2021-22 South Florida Season. Directed by Andy Rogow, this entertaining production is focused on an English estate haunted by the former mistress who has recently passed (or has she?). Add-in mummies, secret identities and a ton of madcap blunders and youhave a fun filled night at the theater. Slow Burn Theatre Company and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts invite audiences to Head Over Heels, the bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q and Spring Awakening, from today through June 26. Set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s and featuring a book by Jeff Whitty and adaptation by James Magruder. Hamburger Mary’s Wilton Manors presents, direct from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 14, June Jambalaya. At 7pm they will feature their weekly RPDR viewing party and then at 8:30pm June will join the Dining with the Diva’s first show and then the second show at 10pm. Flotarama presents their Sailor’s Dance Pool Party at The Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Intercoastal from 2 to 6pm. Special guest DJ from San Francisco Matt Consola of Swishcraft Music. NSU Art Museum (One East Las Olas Blvd) presents Community Voices: Meet the Artist from 2:30-3:30. In this gallery talk, Lux et Veritas exhibition featured artist and advisory committee member, Leslie Hewitt will speak to the work of her peers who are also on view in the exhibition: Mamiko Ostubo, Wardell Milan, Torkwase Dyson, Mike Cloud and William Cordova in concert. This program is presented as part of the Community Voices Series, NSU Art Museum’s initiative supported by the Community Foundation of Broward, that focuses on exploring social and racial inequalities and challenging social structures, including representation in museums. Admission is free but RSVP is required.

Misty Eyez and Hotspots and Happening Out present the annual Mr. and Miss Stonewall Pageant at Eagle Wilton Manors. Doors open at 7pm and the pageant starts at 8pm sharp. The night will star last years winners Shasta McNastie and Javier Rivera, and honor the entertainers celebrating their 10th anniversary as part of the Stonewall Family 2012 winners Malik Diamond and remembering Deja Devonier who will surely be watching down from heaven. “Love, Victor” Season Three Premieres on Hulu and Disney+. Black Travel Summit presents Voyage in Color, a multiday global summit and celebration of Black culture in travel and the achievements of Black travel professionals, taking place from today through June 19. Stonewall Pride: The annual Stonewall Street Festival and Parade takes place today starting at 3pm and goes until 11pm. Over 40,000 people attended last year and this year that number is expected to increase. Come out and lets celebrate together. Here are some of the events happening on the drive:
Lit presents a Pride Indoor-Outdoor Event with Frankie P spinning inside from 4-8pm followed by ChiChi Larue spinning from 8pm to close. DJ Nitrx all day and night outside.
The Pub celebrates Stonewall Pride with the Synergy Twins performing from 5-7pm on the rooftop and then from 9-11pm inside the bar. At 11pm they feature, as seen on Worst Cooks in America, Marti Gould Cummings live with special guest Peachez.

Sony Music Entertainment and Trafalgar Releasing presents George Michael Freedom Uncut, a deeply autobiographical feature documentary narrated by the late Grammy Award winner. A poignant and moving tribute to the legacy of one of Britain’s greatest performers, in his final work George Michael reclaims the narrative of his career, personal life and controversies in collaboration with co-director, producer and friend David Austin. This feature-length documentary will be released as a global cinema event. Throughout the film, Michael reveals openly and honestly the two distinct sides of his life: his very public music career and his private personal life that cameras never truly saw. Michael was heavily involved in and dedicated to the making of this documentary before his tragic passing in 2016, making George Michael Freedom Uncut an incredibly special posthumous release and a poignant and moving tribute to his legacy.
