On March 26, FLAG UP is hosting an action-filled “These Heels Were Made For Fighting” walking protest to address Florida HB1011 and other anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the state.
Participants are encouraged to dress in heels or full-on drag or drape themselves in Pride flags.
The idea is to “Fight while looking FABULOUS.”
The purpose of this event is not just to draw attention but also to take action. This will be a 1-mile walk of pride.
The walk begins at The Pride Center and finishes at Justin Flippen Park with its Pride flags flying high. Action Stops will be deployed throughout the walk where the participants make calls to members of the legislature and their major donors, send emails, as well as shoot, sign & send photo postcards.
After, participants might consider driving up to Palm Beach Pride or participating in Sunday Funday on Wilton Drive.
