Stuart Milk Talks What LGBTQ+ People Need To Do Following Harvey Milk At Diversity Honors

Diversity Honors, the globally renowned celebration that benefits Harvey Milk Foundation and The Pride Center at Equality Park, kickstarted on April 1, at 7 P.M. The awards were exclusively hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. The awards aim to recognize those who are transforming lives by living authentically and advancing inclusiveness. Happening Out Television Network hosts Al Ferguson and FayWhat! covered the whole event and talked to the Executive Director of the Harvey Milk Foundation, Stuart Milk. Stuart talked about the importance of Diversity Honors in the present political scenario in the country and the hardships LGBTQ+ people are facing across the world such as in Uganda, where being queer is a punishable offense by death. Talking about the anti-gay rhetoric, Stuart said that we need to directly use their language and not take semantics away from us. He wants the community to stay visible to keep the fight going.
