Generation Venetian Arts Society (GENVAS) has announced the Remainder of their 2023 Season. The lineup includes a new afternoon series, the first free outdoor concert, a Tony Award-winning vocalist, a presentation of the GENVAS annual Icon of the Arts Award, new collaborations, and the continuation of the GENVAS popular Café Society Pride series. GENVAS is committed to nurturing the emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being of all people through purposeful, thought-provoking, and enlightening artistic experiences. The season will begin on September 17 with their newest series, An Afternoon Affair! And The Art in Motion Dancers will next perform Latin dances. On October 15, a delectable light lunch complimented with fine wines, followed by the reading of “Eclipsed” by Beth Pizzarello and a very rare double harp salon concert of Esther & Annalisa Underhay. On October 28 the 2023 Icon of the Arts Award will be presented along with an evening of cabaret. Maestro Michael Tilson Thomas is the 2023 honoree. Nicholas King and Seth Sikes will perform as The New Belters to complete the evening. The concert will start at 8:00 P.M. and a cash bar will be available. On November 4, Cafe Society Pride will present Ivann, The Medellin Heartthrob. On December 9 Liz Callaway: Broadway & Beyond will kick off the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center’s widely popular Broadway Series, concluding the series.
