Queer trailblazer Billie Eilish emerged as another major winner, clinching the Song Of The Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media Grammys for ‘What Was I Made For.’ During the pre-show ceremony, queer music band boygenius, featuring Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus, secured awards for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Best Alternative Music Album. LGBTQIA+ icon Kylie Minogue earned her first Grammy Award for Best Pop Dance Recording with ‘Padam Padam.’ After her win, Minogue expressed gratitude to her queer fan base for their enduring support, calling it the start of the next era. The event featured spectacular performances from Cyrus, SZA, Eilish, and the legendary Tracy Chapman, who delivered a rendition of her hit track ‘Fast Car’ alongside Luke Combs.
