Jerzey Saint Wilson, also known as Saint St Laurent, a transgender man based in Los Angeles, has garnered widespread attention after a video of him participating in a “Trans Man Realness” competition resurfaced. The competition took place during The Main Attraction Arcade Ball, an event themed around video games and drag, last year. Drag balls are an important part of underground queer subculture and pioneered by Black trans and queer individuals. A Twitter user who re-shared the video of Wilson on Twitter with the caption: “Did y’all know Tommy Davidson had a trans son?! He’s gorgeous!” has amassed over 3,000 retweets and garnered over two million views.
