New parent Brittney Griner recently shared her experience of parenthood following the birth of her child this month. Appearing on CBS Sports’ “We Need to Talk,” Griner clarified her preferred title, is “Pops” when host Terrika Foster-Brasby referred to her as “Mom.” But don’t read too much between the lines, as her statement in 2015 says she identifies as a woman. Griner was part of a highly-publicized prisoner exchange between the United States and Russia in 2022. She was harassed for 300 days in a Russian prison for being a woman, queer, and black. “Pops, from Queer News Tonight, congratulations.”
