Pop icon Cher is wowing fans with her latest UberEats ad, proving once again she’s got humor to match her legendary status. The ad, inspired by her 1989 hit If I Could Turn Back Time, shows Cher using Uber Eats to order a “time machine.” But instead of the 1980s, she lands in a 1680s village—where the locals call her a witch. “I’m not a witch, I’m an icon,” she quips, just before being tied to a stake. As a villager dances in her signature black boots, the scene cuts to the present, where Cher is cooking with Uber Eats’ tagline: “Time machine? No. Thyme? Yes.” Speaking about the project, the singer said she loved the “creativity and hilarity” of the concept and joked,
“I sincerely hope Uber will get me back my boots.”
A pop legend, LGBTQ icon, and now a time-traveling queen—Cher proves she’s still got it! The commercial has, for now, only been seen in Australia.
