New Satire Streaming Show ‘Drag House Rules’ Unites Drag Icons

Move over Lisa Vanderpump, there are new rules coming to reality television. Entertainment Weekly announced that on February 21st, the new satirical reality show ‘Drag House Rules’ will hit OUTtv. The show will feature six iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race queens, as well as the winner of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula, and place them in a house where they will compete for “mysterious $100,000 prize package that may or may not come with a few caveats.” The EW article places a lot of emphasis on competition phrases that make it seem the show is likely not to be a standard contest with lines like, “this ‘competition’ series might not be all that it seems.” The official synopsis for the show reads:

“Drag House Rules raises the stakes with seven legendary drag queens living under one roof, battling it out in a competition full of alliances, betrayals, and jaw-dropping moments. The game sounds simple enough, but what begins as a glamorous high-stakes competition quickly unravels into pure, unpredictable chaos. Secrets are exposed and alliances crumble as the queens fight to stay on top — in ways no one saw coming.”

The show features Drag Race superstars Jujubee, Manila Luzon, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Laganja Estranja, Rock M. Sakura, and Tammie Brown, along with Dragula season 2 winner Biqtch Puddin’.
