On April 23, Temple Sinai of Hollywood and Temple Beth El will hold a community-wide Yom HaShoah Holocaust Remembrance event. The evening begins at 6:15 PM with a photo gallery exhibition, followed by the main program at 7 PM. The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida will perform, adding depth to the solemn occasion.
A candle-lighting ceremony will honor Holocaust survivors and their descendants, ensuring their stories endure. A key discussion, Education or Indoctrination: The Teenage Helpers of Auschwitz, will explore young people’s roles in history’s darkest chapter. The evening concludes with Cookies & Conversation, offering attendees a space for reflection. This free in-person event provides an opportunity for remembrance, education, and unity.
