Wilton Manors is alive with The Sound of Music as a free outdoor musical opens at Richardson Park on May 7. Presented by POW! In The Park in partnership with the City of Wilton Manors, The Warten Foundation, SHS Foundation, and Norman Extract, this beloved classic will be performed on multiple dates and times throughout the season.
Audiences are invited to enjoy the timeless story of Maria and the von Trapp family under the stars, with music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. The production is based on The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp. This open-air event is free for all ages and brings the community together for a night of song, joy, and nostalgia.
