Jennifer Coolidge recently delivered the commencement speech at her alma matter, Boston’s Emerson College. During the speech the actress, known for her roles in ‘White Lotus’, ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘American Pie’, and others gave a special shout-out to the fan base she knows loves her best. (VIDEO)
Her speech focused on making your dreams come true and achieving your goals, even if they seem far-fetched. She told a story about winning an obstacle course race in first-grade, and then being teased because she forgot to do the obstacles. She explained it was a joke, saying:

“I do have a little confession to make. The story I told about the obstacle course … it was just a metaphor. Wait, before you turn on me, I just want you to know it really did happen…. I brought it up … today … so I can tell you it doesn’t really matter what anyone thinks or says. When it comes to the obstacle course of your life, you have to find your own path.”

Her sense of humor and complete embracement of her queer fan base continues to cement Coolidge’s status as a gay icon.
