SAVE is stepping up—and it’s inviting the LGBTQ+ community to do the same. The South Florida-based advocacy group is taking Pride to the Podium, encouraging queer residents and allies to speak at monthly city commission meetings across Miami-Dade, Broward, and beyond.
The organization states, “At SAVE, we believe Pride isn’t just a month. It’s a movement.”
Originally launched during Pride Month, the initiative urges locals to speak directly to elected officials about LGBTQ rights and concerns. What began as a June campaign has now become a permanent strategy and encourages you to become an ally and voice for the LGBTQ community.
No experience? According to SAVE Executive Director Todd Delmany.. No problem. SAVE offers coaching, talking points, and support to help everyone—from first-timers to seasoned speakers, he encourages you to join their mission in front of local community decision makers. You can make their voices heard. For meeting details and how to join and participate, visit save.lgbt. SAVE reminds us all that
“Change starts locally. Advocacy is Pride”
