Shred It and Forget It: Free Document Shredding Returns to Wilton, August 23

On Saturday, August 23, from 9 to 11 AM, Wilton Manors residents and business owners will gather at City Hall’s Hagen Park Parking Lot for a free community shredding event. Hosted by Coastal Waste & Recycling in partnership with The Red Shredder, the event will offer secure, confidential shredding of paper documents and hard-drive punching services. Participants will be required to show proof of residency or a valid business tax receipt. Each household or business will be allowed up to six file boxes of paper. Items must be free of binders and hard covers, though staples and paper clips are acceptable. City staff will assist with unloading, and attendees can either drop off materials or stay to watch the shredding process. All paper shreds will be recycled into new products, keeping waste out of landfills. More details are available at WiltonManors.gov.
