Actor and activist Alan Cumming is bringing LGBTQ+ joy to the Scottish Highlands with Out in the Hills, a new queer arts festival running January 16–18, 2026, at Pitlochry Festival Theatre. Cumming told PinkNews, “This festival is needed right now…Let’s have something about queer and trans people that’s not negative.” The event will feature film, theatre, and music, including Cumming starring in Me and the Girls and conversations with Graham Norton and Ian McKellen.
