LGBTQ+ lifestyle magazine Hotspots is back with another issue. This time, it brings to you a feature on The Pet Project for Pets and its newly launched Mobile Wellness Van, a groundbreaking initiative bringing veterinary care directly to seniors and underserved communities across South Florida. Executive Director Sue Martino explains, “Our mission has always been about keeping pets and people together,” adding that transportation barriers were preventing vulnerable clients from accessing care. She says the new van changes everything, calling it more than a vehicle — it’s peace of mind. The Mobile Wellness Van will provide wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventative care, with regular service expected to begin in 2026, ensuring seniors never have to choose between their own limitations and the health of a beloved pet.
