The 2026 Winter Olympics are set for an LGBTQ+ showdown. Married skeleton sliders Kim Meylemans of Belgium and Nicole Silveira of Brazil will go head-to-head in one of the Games’ fastest sports. Meylemans is a two-time Olympian and European champion, while Silveira delivered Brazil’s best-ever Olympic sliding result in 2022. They got married in August 2025. The couple shared, “It feels extra special to potentially compete as a married couple.”
