The Hollywood Reporter alleges that Rebel Wilson hired a crisis PR team to frame The Deb’s producer, Amanda Ghost, as a sex trafficker. In the recording, digital fixer Jed Wallace discusses creating anonymous websites accusing Ghost of sex trafficking. Wallace says, “We can’t just do, like, oh, she’s a bitch, she sucks…It’s, like, it’s got to be really, really heavy and connected to something that heavy.” The alleged campaign followed Wilson’s misconduct claims tied to The Deb, which led Ghost, star Charlotte MacInnes, and others to file a defamation lawsuit. Ghost’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, says they have submitted court evidence that supports claims of Wilson helping the smear campaign.
