In a release published Tuesday, the administration said President Donald Trump had “ended Democrats’ transgender for everybody insanity,” framing transgender identity as ideological rather than a recognized aspect of human diversity. The statement asserted that the administration is celebrating a decisive victory through “the swift and unrelenting dismantling of subversive, woke policies that endangered children, eroded women’s rights, assaulted common sense, and dragged America toward moral and cultural decline.”

The White House statement highlighted policies restricting gender-affirming care for minors, limiting transgender participation in sports, and redefining gender in federal programs.

It also criticized the Biden administration for desecrating Easter Sunday by celebrating TDOV. Transgender Day of Visibility is observed annually on March 31 since 2009, and is fixed on that date, while Easter shifts yearly. In 2024, the two coincided. That year, then-President Joe Biden issued a standard proclamation recognizing both occasions separately. LGBTQ advocates are criticizing this year’s statement for its hateful language.
