In a TikTok “Get Ready With Me” video, Beauty influencer James Charles shared that he got into his first fight at Coachella and his friends had to pull him away from somebody. Charles explained that the incident happened while trying to pass through a crowded VIP stairway. He said: “So the only way through is basically to politely step over people and granted, most that are sitting on the stairs are well aware of this, so will move or shift over to allow people through. Well, not this lady last night.” This led to a confrontation after he accidentally stepped on her shoe. The situation escalated as both exchanged heated words. His friends pulled him away before the situation intensified further. He later reflected that the festival environment can heighten tensions among attendees.
