Speaking on Tomi Lahren’s Fox Nation podcast, Jenner described the change as a big problem that is affecting her ability to travel. She revealed she wrote to Trump while staying at Mar-a-Lago, but did not receive a response. Jenner said that she has his phone number but chose not to call, and she does not blame Trump.

The policy stems from a 2025 executive order signed by Trump, directing federal agencies to recognize only two sexes—male and female—based on sex assigned at birth. Under guidance from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, passports now reflect that standard, and nonbinary X markers are no longer issued. The U.S. Supreme Court also upheld the administration’s authority to enforce the policy in November.

During the interview, Jenner also reflected on her past and political positions. She acknowledged calling herself a hypocrite for accepting Glamour’s Woman of the Year award in 2015 while later opposing some trans rights. Jenner also suggested Republicans may be “going too far to the right” on transgender bathroom bans, stating such policies are not right and not safe. Her comments highlight ongoing divisions within conservative circles over transgender rights.
