The MDGLCC presents The Legends Award Cocktail Reception and Ceremony, which is the Chamber’s signature celebration of legacy, leadership, and community. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale brings Rob Pruitt’s Flea Market back to Fort Lauderdale for its encore from noon to 5pm. The internationally renowned contemporary artist has been staging his nomadic flea markets around the world since 1999, in locations from New York to London’s Tate Gallery and at NSU Art Museum in 2021. Pruitt is inviting local artists to sell their art and wares during the one-day event. From today through May 3rd the Kravis Center presents, based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook, which tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. The Notebook is directed by Michael Greif (Dear Evan HansenNext to NormalRENT) and Schele Williams (The WizAida), and features music and lyrics by multiplatinum singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, a book by Bekah Brunstetter (NBC’s This Is Us) and choreography by Katie Spelman. Front Runners & Walkers Fort Lauderdale proudly announces the inaugural Love Wins 5K, a vibrant community race celebrating inclusivity, fitness, and pride. The race will take place at 7:30am and will begin and end on the iconic Rainbow Bridge in Wilton Manors, taking participants on a scenic course up and down the heart of Wilton Drive. Runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to join this uplifting event that blends athletic achievement with community spirit. Prize money will be awarded to the top three finishers in the men’s, women’s, and non-binary divisions. In addition to the race itself, the Love Wins Race Festival will take place before and after the event at Richardson Historic Park. Outsfl presents the third annual Mizz Outsfl: An Evening of Elegance, glamour, legacy and awareness presented by Grieco Ford Fort Lauderdale at United Church of Christ’s Elliot Hall (2501 NE 30th Street Fort Lauderdale) at 7pm (doors open at 6pm).  The night will honor Mizz Outsfl 2025, Velvet LeNore, and feature performances by Erika Norell, Catchy Craig, Melissa St John, Miss Florida F.I. 2026 Monica Simpson, Miss Florida F.I. at Large Candi Fuentes, Mr. Florida M.E.
