Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is making waves off the field with a substantial donation to The Trevor Project, the nation’s leading suicide prevention organization for LGBTQ+ youth.
The move was inspired and facilitated by Carl Nassib, the first openly gay player to play in an NFL regular-season game. Since retiring, Nassib has worked tirelessly to connect the league with advocacy groups, and this partnership marks a major milestone. Arthur Blank, a long-time philanthropist, stated that the gift is about more than just football—it’s about ensuring every young person, regardless of their identity, has access to life-saving support. Writing on a LinkedIn post Carl Nassib wrote, “I am incredibly grateful to the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation for their extraordinary $1 million donation to The Trevor Project and everyone at the Atlanta Falcons for their heartfelt support.”
