This week the Gay Men’s Chorus Of South Florida presented one of America’s most outstanding LGBTQ Christmas concerts. Starring Glee’s Amber Riley, the incredible concert was the end of and noteworthy year as the concert was held at the 6500 seat Hard Rock Live. But perhaps one of the greatest moments did not have a single note. Well, actually maybe a 150 thousand notes. The Community Foundation of Broward’s Director of Community Impact, Angelica Rosas, presented a substantial grant of $150,000 for GMCSF on stage before the “Celebrate The Holidays’’ concert. Accepting on behalf of the chorus were Mark B. Kent, Executive Director, and Edward Otto Zielke, Director of Marketing and Sponsorship. This Arts & Culture Grant will enhance the Chorus’s infrastructure and expand its inspirational reach throughout the region. The Chorus has been a vibrant part of the South Florida community since its inception in 2010.
