Diversity Honors, the prestigious event exclusively hosted by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on March 9, will recognize influential individuals who have dedicated themselves to promote inclusivity and authenticity. The event will benefit the Harvey Milk Foundation and The Pride Center at Equality Park. The foundation will present two Harvey Milk Medals, recognizing the achievements of music pioneer and multiple Grammy Award-winner, as well as LGBTQ+ activist Belinda Carlisle, along with singer/songwriter Spencer Battiest. Belinda advocates for parental support of LGBTQ+ children. She has also co-founded Animal People Alliance, empowering individuals in Kolkata to care for street animals. At the event, she’ll be accompanied by her son, James Mason, an LGBTQ+ activist and blogger. The event will also distribute the prestigious Pride Center at Equality Park Alan Schubert Award to a dedicated entrepreneur and philanthropist Mark Hunter Seymour. Tatiana Williams, the co-founder of Transinclusive Group (TIG) will be honored for advocating for transgender and LGBTQ+ equality and the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, will be honored for using an impactful musical force to promote diversity. The event will also celebrate the legacy of Harvey Milk, an icon for the LGBTQ+ community, marking the 46th anniversary of his historic election. Diversity Honors is happening with the support from DMK – Danne Montague-King, Stoli Vodka, GPR | Goodman Public Relations, Ludwig Framemakers, and media sponsors HOTspots Happening Out, OutClique, and OutSFL! Tickets cost $250 each, including a welcome cocktail reception, open bar, seated awards dinner in the Grand Ballroom, and a Stoli After Party at The Guitar Hotel with live entertainment by singer/songwriter Debby Holiday.
