Titled Confessions II, the project is a sequel to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, known for its ABBA-inspired disco sound and juxtaposing escapism with self-reflection. Queer audience, in particular, praised the album for its cohesion and energy. Now, the new album reunites Madonna with producer Stuart Price, who also helmed the original record. Confessions II marks her first album of new material since 2019’s Madame X.
