For more than four decades, HotSpots has chronicled our community’s culture, celebrations, businesses, organizations, and the remarkable people who make South Florida such a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.
First and foremost, thank you. To our South Florida readers, our online audience, and our viewers from around the world, your support has been overwhelming. Your texts, phone calls, emails, social media messages, and words of encouragement have meant more than I can adequately express. I am deeply humbled by the opportunity and responsibility to help continue the legacy of this extraordinary publication and digital media platform.
As we enter what I proudly call The New Era of HotSpots, I want to make a simple commitment to our readers. My philosophy as Publisher will always be to under-promise and over-perform. That means we will focus on sharing accomplishments and initiatives that have already been launched rather than making promises about what may happen in the future. Maintaining your trust is paramount. Our goal is to continue earning our place as a trusted source for LGBTQ+ entertainment, culture, community news, and inspiration.
One of the most important responsibilities we have is being the voice of our community. That means showcasing the people, businesses, nonprofits, and events that make a difference in our lives every day. Since my appointment as Publisher, we have expanded our editorial content by adding a Nonprofit Profile in every issue, HOT Bartender Feature, a Business Profile, and a Community Profile spotlighting individuals who are making a positive impact.
I believe it is critical that we celebrate our heroes—especially the unsung heroes whose contributions often go unnoticed. By sharing their stories, we strengthen our community and inspire others to get involved, give back, and make a difference.
