Gyllenhaal grew up in Hollywood, where his parents were both involved in show business, his mother is a producer/screenwriter and his father is a director. His godparents are Jamie Lee Curtis and Paul Newman, talk about famous “A Listers”. Even his sister Maggie has cashed in on the movie biz. Just like so many other hunks in showbiz, Jackman has been plagued by gay rumors for years, but has been happily married for 16 years to Deborra-Lee Furness. While doing press for Les Mis and the Oscars, he commented that the gay rumors were starting to bug his wife. It´s certainly possible that he is a closet family member, but it´s much more likely that these rumors are still around from when he played the openly gay Broadway Icon Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz, the role he won the Tony for.
