In Week 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 3, Ru brought out a Mini challenge in tribute to Ru’s hero, and it was called the “Andy Warhol Celebrity Ball.” Since many of his portraits started as a Polaroid, the girls had 15 minutes to get into quick drag for a Polaroid portrait that Ru will turn into pop art. In the end, the winner was AJA who won $2,000 and a years’ worth of hamburgers from Hamburger Mary’s.

The Maxi challenge was to create two Warhol inspired looks. The first was an homage to his infamous Campbell Soup design. The girls had to design a soup can that captures the true flavor of their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. The second was inspired by Andy’s favorite nightclub: Studio 54. The girls needed to design disco queen couture for the runway.  In the end, the top two were Bebe and Trixie, Ben and Kennedy were safe and AJA and Shangela were the bottom two. Bebe won the lip synch and sent AJA home.

How has your life changed since you were on Drag Race?

In many ways…it did a 180….I went from being in not the best of situations to being in one of the best situations I can be in. That really refers to everything in my life.

What has been some of your favorite cities to visit as a RuPaul Alumni?

I have had fun in almost every city, but I especially loved going to all the cities in Europe, and South America. The truth is anywhere there is good weather or BBQ food or potatoes and Mac and Cheese I am so there!

How exciting was it to get called back for All Stars? Did you consider not coming back, and if so what made you come back?

I got the call and immediately said yes. There was no way I would not take advantage of such a great opportunity.

How did you prepare differently for All Stars than you did the first time you were on the show?

I definitely utilized my resources better. For Season 9, I was so poor, and didn’t have a support group that could help me. For All Stars I had more money and much many more connections that were willing to help me.

You had a very gracious exit. Where did that come from? And did you feel redeemed since you went so far?

I definitely feel like I showed more of who I am. I feel like I didn’t do that in Season 9. So in many ways, this felt like my real first run. I hope people all over the world fall in love with the real me and not the girl that was on Season 9. I don’t know who that was and if I see her on the street I am jumping her…LOL!!

Now that you have been eliminated, who do you want to win?

I still want to win! I am sitting by my phone and waiting for the call to come back.

What’s ahead for AJA?

In one week I am releasing a single and by the end of the year I will have a full album. I am also working on taking my music on tour. In addition, I am working on fashion and a short film.

Basically, I want to connect with my audience and give them my heart and soul.

Is there anything else you want to share with your fans?

I just want to say “Is she going to jump from there?” (LOL).
