Stephen Neil will be coming to town for a one night show at The Pub Wilton Manors from 9-11pm. This wicked night of tricks & treats, Halloween themed music, costume changes, and more will be a great way to start the Halloween weekend!


No tricks, just treats this Halloween for Gulfstream Park Village’s ‘Not So Spooky’ Halloween! from 6:30–8 p.m., with a socially distanced and safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating. This event will offer a ghostly good time for families and kids of all ages. Holy Angels National Catholic Church (2917 NE 6th Ave, Wilton Manors) will be showing the movie E.T., the Extra Terrestrial starting at 7pm.

With this year’s Halloween festivities in doubt, Miami Children’s Museum (980 MacArthur Causeway) is stepping up and making sure there is still a treat to be found!  Trick or treat from your car seat this Halloween at MiChiMu’s Halloween Drive-Thru! Dress up in your favorite costume and head to the Museum from 11am – 2pm for a festive, not-so-spooky, drive-thru celebration for kids of all ages. The first 500 children will receive a free trick or treat bag filled with candy, trinkets, healthy snacks, a book and other special treats.  They will also receive a carton of Chocolate Milk, the official drink of Halloween, from Florida Dairy Farmers.  This event is sponsored in part by Florida Dairy Farmers, Caleb & Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation, Geico North Miami, ARA Food Corporation, and Fabricant & Company, PA. For more information, go to: Miamichildrensmuseum.org/museum-at-home.


Twist Presents Halloween 2020 where they present tricks and treats starring DJ Mike James


The Pub presents a Halloween Spooktacular Contest. They invite you to stop by the pub between 7 and 10 pm to get your photo taken for the contest, and the judging begins at 10:30pm via an on-screen slideshow of pics. Must be present at time of judging to win. The first place will win $150 in cash and $150 Pub gift card; 2nd place wins $100 in cash and $100 Pub gift card and 3rd place wins $50 in cash and $50 Pub gift card. 


Miami Dade County Fair and Exposition presents “Ghouls Night Out,” a fun night out at the Drive-in featuring live in concert Lucy Grau. The night will also feature Ray Guell, music by DJ Alex Gutierrez, hostess Athena Dion, and a costume contest with cash and prizes. For tickets, which range from $30 t $160 (VIP), go to 3feo.com. 


The Manor Complex presents Horrorween, an Indoor Outdoor event from 4pm to 2am. The Outdoors features food trucks and more and indoors featuring DJs Abel, Kidd Madonny, and Miik. Noche Latina Saturdays will be in the Ivy Dance Room and Patio from 8pm to 2am. There will also be a $1,000 (cash and Prizes) costume contest, and as a Halloween present to the community the Manor is featuring NO COVER all night long! 


Wednesday, November 4

The Key West Business Guild presents their November Luncheon at Marriot Beachside from noon to 1pm with presentations by candidates running for the KWBG Board seats and special presentations by representatives of Wesley House Family Services and Samuel’s House. Stonewall Pride presents their monthly (first Wednesday of the month) Pride Skate at Xtreme Action Park (5300 Powerline Road) from 7-10pm. The night stars DJ Tpromix, with a full bar, but all ages welcome. Admission is $15 which includes entry and skate rental, and VIP is $25 and includes entrance to the party; skate rental, two beers or wine drink tickets and a $5 donation. The Lake Worth Playhouse presents their annual Drag Show Fundraiser; “Send in the Queens,” for the 13th consecutive year tonight and tomorrow, Saturday November 7 at 8pm! This is a high-end, high-energy drag concert that features a cast of dazzling drag divas: Melissa St. John, Daizee Deluxx, Velvet Lenore, Vasti Love Montana., Dee Dee VanCarter, Danielle Montgomery, Tonna Mackenzie and Lupita Hollywood. The Worlds AIDS Museum’s 40 days of giving featuring The Colors of HIV starts tonight, and goes through December 13. The Colors of HIV, original works by local artist Toby Gotesman Schneier, is a series that reflects many different aspects of HIV/AIDS. The paintings serve as visual representations of the emotional moments experienced by the families whose lives have been affected by the virus.  Go see the entire collection of work in person by registering for a private tour of 3 to 10 people. Tickets can be purchased for $40 on Eventbrite.com. As a reminder, all pieces featured in the exhibit are for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefitting our museum. Your purchases will help the Museum continue to curate beautiful exhibits, provide important educational programming and foster meaningful dialogue in our community. 


Dash & Lily Premieres on Netflix November 10

A whirlwind Holiday romance builds as cynical Dash and optimistic Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City, finding they have more in common with each other than they would have expected. ‘Kylie: Infinite Disco’

On November 7 Kylie will stream a ticketed performance across the globe, taking fans on a journey inside her imagination to another dimension. ‘Kylie: Infinite Disco’ will take viewers through a parallel universe from solitary isolation to an alternative euphoric dance-floor community of togetherness. The visual world imagined by Kylie and the creative team at Studio Moross and Sinclair/Wilkinson ends in a future time and place where we can, in Kylie’s words, “all be as one again.” The performance will feature many of the tracks on Kylie’s highly-anticipated new album, ‘Disco,’ due out November 6 via BMG. As well as the new tracks, the unique broadcast will include some very special Kylie classics. The tracks have been specially re-arranged for this one-off event by long-time Kylie collaborators Biff Stannard and Steve Anderson. The National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce’s Sip & Pitch is a chance to informally present your business to a panel of experts and your fellow business owners for positive, constructive feedback and new ideas.  Sam Smiths New Album, “Love Goes,” Drops October 30

Capital Records will release Sam Smith’s new album, Love Goes, on October 30th. The album’s 17 songs were written over the course of the past two years. The pandemic gave Smith a fresh perspective on the album and impacted both its title and the recording of tracks such as the recently released “My Oasis,” a cross-continental collaboration with Burna Boy.  As Smith details in this announcement, “Every time I went into the studio I promised myself I would shoot for the stars and have no limitations…I am sorry it’s taken a while. But these unprecedented times gave me the room and space to fall in love with these songs all over again…After it all I still believe love is the answer. Freaky Premiere’s on Friday, November 13

Lake Worth Playhouse Classes

Musical Theatre Jazz For Adults is taught by Lara Palmer and takes place on Thursdays from 6-7pm from Oct. 29 – Nov 19. The cost is $15/Class (in advance), and $20/Class (day of). Musical Theatre Audition For Adults is taught by Cathy Randazzo Olsen and takes place Tuesdays from 5-6pm from Nov 10 – Dec 16. This is a six week class and costs $150. Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine 

This is a variety special full of vignettes dealing with issues of politics, race, gender, class, and other light subjects. Sarah is joined by a fantastic array of special guests who participate in short interviews, sketches and more shenanigans. Everything’s Fine will premiere globally on October 27.The special is directed by Natasha Lyonne with Maya Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew Behrens and Lyonne executive producing through their production company Animal Pictures in addition to Cooper and Paula Pell. 2nd Annual Art + Stroll

Business for the Arts of Broward’s (BFA) 2nd Annual ART + STROLL, a one-of-a-kind event featuring an art exhibition, live entertainment and a silent auction. This year it takes place virtually on Thursday, November 12 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  Via Zoom, participants will virtually view the artwork, purchase fabulous art for their homes, offices or as a holiday gift, and enjoy live entertainment safely from home while supporting arts and culture.  Proceeds from sales of the artwork directly benefit BFA’s innovative programs and local artists.
