Despite the lack of queer representation in commercials this year, the LGBTQ+ community did make history with the Cheerleaders at Sunday’s Super Bowl. While fans of the Bengals have been shown to be the most LGBTQ+ friendly in the NFL, the sexuality of the “Ben Gals” is unknown. The LA Rams, however, broke a record this year with five openly gay men on their cheerleading team.

Quinton, Jose, Napoleon, Brendan and Eswinn joined 23 female cheerleaders as they kept the Rams fired up on their way to victory. With the Super Bowl being less than 40 minutes from West Hollywood, it was good to see at least a little LGBTQ+ representation.
