Christopher Makos, an icon of Queer photography, snapped images of some of the biggest names in LGBTQ+ pop culture of the 60’s, 70’s, and beyond. From Andy Warhol and Liza Minelli kissing, to artist Keith Haring and his ex lover Juan Dubose, and plenty of pictures of his friend Debbie Harry. He also was known for his pictures of the male body in general. His works have been exhibited at the Tate Modern, London, The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The National Gallery, Washington, D.C., and The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao.
