In a wild and hilarious twist, the 72-year-old action star ditches the tough-guy routine for full-blown slapstick in the new trailer for The Naked Gun reboot. Neeson plays Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of the iconic character originally portrayed by Leslie Nielsen. But fans are doing a double take after seeing Neeson in his first scene—dressed as a schoolgirl, complete with a plaid miniskirt and yes, strawberry panties! The trailer, revealed at CinemaCon, doesn’t hold back.
It shows Neeson battling a man with his own dismembered arms and teasing a steamy scene with Pamela Anderson that isn’t quite what it seems. With a cast featuring Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, and Liza Koshy, The Naked Gun reboot opens on August 1—and the queer community is living for this transformation!
