What do US National Parks, adult content creators, and risque gay songs have in common? If you haven’t been on TikTok in the past few days, you’d likely think nothing. In a trend to bring awareness to the National Parks system and the funding issues they are facing, fan accounts for different National Parks and Monuments have gone off the rails in the most fun ways possible. It appears to have started on May 2, when the Visit.Yellowstone account posted a video featuring OnlyFans star Johnathon Caine followed by footage of the park. This has been followed by videos from other accounts getting into the action, including Joshua Tree National Park posting videos featuring spicy gay music from Dixon Dallas. The people behind these videos appear to be the same people behind the “Alt National Parks” organization. This is a group of ex and current National Parks System employees who have been protesting the harsh budget cuts from the Trump administration that have gutted the staff of the US National Parks, and left them desperately under-funded. As several of the accounts have also posted LGBTQ+ support, we have to admit that these accounts really know how to get us excited about nature again!
