Wilton Manors will host the 2025 session of Island City University (ICU), a free educational program aimed at civic-minded residents and future public service leaders. This seven-week initiative kicks off on July 7, 2025, and runs through August 11, culminating in a graduation on August 26 at 7 PM during the regular City Commission meeting.
Held at Hagen Park and City Hall Commission Chambers, sessions will explore city operations from departments like Police, Fire, Finance, and Leisure Services.
Dinner is provided at 6 PM, with classes running from 6:15 to 8 PM. Organized by the city, ICU invites LGBTQ individuals and allies to apply by May 30. Residents interested in leadership or volunteering are encouraged to apply and join this unique learning experience.
