This October, South Florida’s LGBTQ community will gather for an evening of celebration, history, and activism. The PRISM Gala 2025 takes place Saturday, October 18, from 6 to 11 p.m. at ArtServe in Fort Lauderdale. This year’s theme, “Queer as Punk – A History of Resistance,” pays homage to the grassroots spirit of past queer movements. Organizers say the inspiration comes from Riot Grrrl and feminist punk eras—times when community members fought on the front lines for equality. The gala promises a full evening of entertainment, dinner, interactive exhibits, and a silent auction. An awards ceremony will recognize those carrying forward the fight for equality, followed by an exclusive after-party.
