This October, South Florida’s LGBTQ community will gather for an evening of celebration, history, and activism for The PRISM Gala 2025. The gala will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 6 to 11 PM at ArtServe in Fort Lauderdale. This year’s theme, “Queer as Punk – A History of Resistance,” will pay homage to the grassroots spirit of past queer movements. Organizers say Riot Grrrl and feminist punk eras inspired them to come up with this year’s theme. These were the times when community members fought on the front lines for equality. The PRISM Gala 2025 promises a full evening of entertainment, dinner, interactive exhibits, and a silent auction. An awards ceremony will also be held to recognize those carrying forward the fight for equality, followed by an exclusive after-party.
