I just moved to South Florida, and honey, the humidity isn’t the only thing making things complicated! I’ve been dating this incredible trans man for three months — smart, kind, and definitely boyfriend material. My parents know I’m seeing someone, but what they don’t know is that he’s trans.
They’re dying to meet him, and I’m torn. Do I tell them ahead of time and risk making it sound like a “big deal,” or do I just let them meet him and let love speak for itself? I don’t want to put him in an awkward spot, but I also don’t want to make it weird before dinner’s even served.
