Industry leader Outsports is tracking LGBTQ visibility across the NBA, where 21 teams have confirmed Pride Nights for the 2026 season, and nine others still haven’t shown their cards. The NBA has long positioned itself as one of the most LGBTQ-inclusive men’s leagues, with trailblazers like Jason Collins — the first active men’s pro athlete to play after coming out — and Commissioner Adam Silver’s open support at Pride parades. But with the season already 10% complete, the question remains: Will every team step up? Here’s the full landscape.

Pride Nights have already taken place for the Hawks, Mavericks, Warriors, Lakers, and Celtics, while upcoming celebrations are planned across the league, including the Nets, Hornets, Bulls, Cavaliers, Nuggets, Pistons, Pacers, Clippers, Timberwolves, Knicks, 76ers, Suns, Trail Blazers, Spurs, Magic, and Wizards. But nine teams remain unannounced. That list includes Houston, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Sacramento, Toronto, and Utah. Oklahoma City hasn’t hosted Pride since last season, and Memphis appears to be skipping entirely. Meanwhile, Major League Baseball saw 29 of 30 teams participate this year, raising the pressure on NBA holdouts. You can read more of this story at outsports.com.
