One of the world’s biggest queer festivals, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, has released details for its 2026 celebration and opened ticket sales. Running From February 13 to March 1, the theme “ECSTATICA” spotlights joy and resistance. CEO Jesse Matheson said, “ECSTATICA is about euphoria as resistance,” adding the festival honors “who we are, what we’ve built, and the future we’re creating together.” Expect 80+ events, from the femme-powered Ultra Violet kickoff to Fair Day, Black Cherry, comedy nights, film premieres and major theatre.
