New data from England undercuts claims about trans women in women’s spaces. Advocacy group TransLucent reviewed records from hundreds of public bodies between 2022 and 2024 and found just four relevant complaints. Hospitals, public toilets, leisure centers, and domestic violence refuges reported virtually no objections from cisgender women. The report says, “political and media rhetoric about trans women threatening women in single-sex spaces is unsupported by actual complaints.” The group concludes: This is a manufactured controversy, not a documented crisis.
