Hotspots Happening Out marked its 5th Anniversary CAN Black History Month Cookout with a vibrant, family-friendly celebration centered on unity and Black Joy. The event welcomed Black and Brown Straight and queer attendees, drawing exceptional turnout from children and families alike for games, food, and fun.
Free entry, food, and parking were offered thanks to sponsors, including CAN/Midland Medical, Aquaplex/Pride Holdings Liquor, Sysco Food, and the City of Wilton Manors Park. CAN/Midland Medical provided HIV testing alongside a JetBlue flight ticket giveaway. Community members were also honored with a Black History Month Proclamation from the City, highlighting inclusion and togetherness.
