A new YouGov poll shows that US adults are evenly divided on whether LGBTQ+ discrimination is a serious problem. The survey of more than 1,100 adults found respondents almost equally split across all four response levels. Twenty-three percent called it “a very serious problem,” while 25 percent said it is not a problem at all. Women were more likely than men to see discrimination as an issue. Younger adults were least likely to dismiss it. The findings come as lawmakers have introduced hundreds of anti-LGBTQ+ bills in 2026, following a record wave of proposals in 2025.
