Where Wilton Manors Comes to Dine, Gather and Celebrate
In a little more than a year, Salvo’s Osteria Romana has accomplished something every neighborhood restaurant hopes to achieve: it has become more than a place to eat. It has become a place where our community gathers.
Salvo’s opened on Wilton Drive around the Fourth of July weekend in 2025, bringing authentic Roman and Italian cuisine to the heart of Wilton Manors.
Located at 2389 Wilton Drive, near NE 9th Avenue, the restaurant occupies one of the most convenient locations on the Drive, complete with a private parking lot, an especially welcome feature on a busy Wilton Manors evening.
Walk through the door and one of the first things you notice is the hospitality.
Owner Salvo Mule has a wonderful ability to make guests feel less like customers and more like friends visiting his home. He remembers faces, works the room, checks on tables and genuinely seems happiest when his restaurant is filled with people enjoying themselves. That warmth carries throughout the staff, where friendly, attentive service has become part of the Salvo’s experience.
And then there is the food.
Salvo’s celebrates Roman traditions alongside familiar Italian favorites. The signature Cacio e Pepe, prepared tableside in a giant wheel of Pecorino cheese, is as much an experience as it is dinner. The menu also features Carbonara, Bolognese, risotto, Chicken Parmigiana, Ossobuco, Branzino, salmon, filet mignon and an inviting selection of antipasti and desserts, including house-made tiramisu.
Come early and Salvo’s Apericena Happy Hour adds another reason to visit. The current menu lists happy hour from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the garden and bar area, with $10 selections including calamari, mussels, meatballs, bruschetta, prosciutto and melon, and flatbreads.
Tuesday’s popular Pasta Night has also become a neighborhood favorite, offering unlimited selections of pasta with a glass of wine for $25.
Perhaps most importantly, Salvo’s has become a celebration restaurant. Birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, community gatherings and evenings with friends regularly fill the dining room and outdoor spaces. Its Pergola and indoor dining areas can also accommodate larger events.
That says something about a restaurant.
