Provincetown’s Crown & Anchor has launched the “Prouder Together” initiative, highlighting its commitment to broader LGBTQ+ communities. The owner of the Crown & Anchor, Jonathan Hawkins, believes that after traveling across Florida for the ‘Spread Queer Cheer Tour,’ it has become clear that The Crown’s mission goes far beyond his community in Cape Cod. Prouder Together will be the presenting sponsor of Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride, June 12-16, featuring the Black Excellency Stage. Events include Pride Fantasia on June 12, benefitting SunServe, The Eagle’s Leather & Bear Ball on June 14, and FlockFest’s Splash Pool Party called “Rainbow Edition ” on June 16. Earlier this year Visit Lauderdale announced Fort Lauderdale’s yearlong sponsorship of Provincetown including the community’s iconic LGBTQ+ events. Now Crown & Anchor and Jonathan Hawkins ‘Prouder Together returns their efforts in supporting the LGBTQ+ community of South Florida. This is a highly unusual and unique effort in support of two of the world’s top queer travel destinations and communities. The initiative aims to support and stabilize Pride festivals, fostering solidarity and celebration within the LGBTQ+ community.
