HOTtopics: Town Hall Series is a safe space in which important topics concerning the LGBTQ+ community can be discussed freely among city officials, community members, business owners and organization members. 

The 2023 quarterly series was birthed from the Race in Wilton Manors Roundtable Town Hall, a discussion about race relations in Wilton Manors with City Commissioners, Business owners, Race Discrimination Survivors and Community Members all at the table in front of a group of concerned citizens.

The talk went well but what next? And thus, the HOTtopics: Town Hall Series was born to not only discuss important topics concerning the LGBTQ+ community but also to keep the conversation going in regards to action items that were discussed in the Town Hall prior. True change doesn’t just happen when people are seen and voices are heard. True change occurs when people are seen, voices are heard, and actions are taken to improve the situation.
