10th Annual Taste of the Island

The first Taste of the Island was held in Wilton Manors back in 2006, and since then it has grown TasteoftheIsland2015_copy3to an event which last year brought in 1000 attendees (due to being over crowded, this year they are capping the crowd to 700 people, so buy your tickets early as they will sell out) who wish to sample food and drinks from nearly three dozen bars and restaurants from all over eastern Broward County. However, This year’s Taste of the Island event will be held on Monday, November 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Richardson Historic Park (1937 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors).

Quite a few restaurants and bars will be participating in this year’s Taste of the Island event, giving people a “taste” of the best each establishment has to offer. The participating restaurants and bars you will see at the tenth annual event (as of press time) include:

Taste of the Island is a fundraiser that benefits a number of organizations in Broward County. The four groups that will benefit from proceeds this year are Kiwanis International, the Wilton Manors Historical Society, the City of Wilton Manors, and the Wilton Manors Development Alliance.

Parking is only available on-site at Richardson Historic Park for people with handicapped parking permits. Otherwise, off-site parking for guests will be located at Hagen Park, north of City Hall at 2020 Wilton Drive. Shuttle service will be provided for all partygoers between Hagen Park and Richardson Historic Park, and vice versa.
