The 56th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) takes place in the “Yachting BoatShow2015_copy2Capital of the World” from Nov. 5 to 9, drawing thousands of boating enthusiasts and marine businesses from around the world.

Featuring $4 billion worth of superyachts, boats of all kinds and cutting-edge technology and products across more than three million square feet of exhibit space, the show’s exhibits include “yacht toys” such as personal submarines, water jet packs, helicopters and an impressive display of exotic automobiles. The largest in-water boat show in the world draws more than 1,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries each year and an international crowd of about 100,000 people.

In addition to being the event where yacht buyers and sellers converge each year to see what’s new, the show also delivers plenty of fun including crowd-packed floating cocktail lounges, live music, fishing and boating seminars for adults and children of all ages and live paddleboard, kayak, hovercraft and freedive demonstrations.

The boat show’s seven locations are connected by a convenient land and water transportation network offering parking and transportation options to get show-goers to seven locations including the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Hall of Fame Marina, Las Olas Municipal Marina, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Sails Marina, Pier 66 Marina and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.

“This is an exciting year for the Fort Lauderdale BoatShow2015_copy4International Boat Show as we roll out enhancements designed to make this the best show ever for our exhibitors and attendees,” said Brett Keating, vice president of consumer marketing for Show Management, the organization that annually produces the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. “We’re elevating the overall experience in many different ways, ranging from very attractive VIP packages to a Friday night Blue Party at the Convention Center especially for our valued exhibitors. Even before you arrive, you’ll notice attractive new touches when you visit the new FLIBS website and see our new logo.”

On Friday, November 6, the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center will glow blue for a fun-filled night specially planned for exhibitors and featuring entertainment, music and fashion at the show’s Sailfish Pavilion. Raffle tickets and great prizes will benefit the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, a non-profit organization that annually serves more than 11,000 children with special healthcare needs in Broward County.
