Dave Koz has been in the music industry for 25 years. His first solo album was released in 1990 and he has since released eighteen more albums, eight of which have made it to the Top Ten of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts. He currently hosts a two-hour jazz program on
SiriusXM Satellite Radio, The Dave Koz Lounge, each weekend. Openly gay, Koz has been named one of the hottest bachelors in America by People Magazine. His most recent album is called Collaborations: The 25th Anniversary Collection.
On this tour, Koz will be featuring the talents of Jonathan Butler, Candy Dulfer and Bill Medley. Jonathan Butler became famous in his native South Africa before pursuing his music career in the United Kingdom and the United States. Butler’s music is best described as R&B meets jazz.
Candy Dulfer is a Dutch musician who is particularly well-known for playing saxophone in the smooth jazz and funk styles. She started her own band at the age of 14 and her first album, released when she was only 21, earned her a Grammy Award nomination. She has performed with many of her idols, such as Pink Floyd and Alan Parsons.
Bill Medley is best-known as being one-half of the 1960s pop and soul group The Righteous Brothers. He has earned quite a few #1 hits on the pop charts, such as “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin'”, “Unchained Melody”, and “(I’ve Had) the Time of My Life” (the latter, with Jennifer Warnes, on the Dirty Dancing soundtrack).
