Prime Gentlemen & SAGE of South Florida present “Judy,” at 1:30pm in the Pride Center, Main Hall. Winter 1968 and showbiz legend Judy Garland (played by Renee Zellweger) arrives in Swinging London to perform a five-week sold out run at The Talk of the Town. It is 30 years since she shot to Global Stardom in The Wizard of Oz, but if her voice has weakened, its dramatic intensity has only grown. As she prepares for the show, battles with management, charms musicians and reminisces with friends and adoring fans, her wit and warmth shine through. Even her dreams of love seem undimmed as she embarks on a whirlwind romance with Mickey Deans, her soon-to-be husband. Featuring some of her best-known songs, the film celebrates the voice, the capacity for love, and the sheer pizzazz of “the world’s greatest entertainer.” The movie revisits the last few months of her time on earth with us: the booing crowds, the empty bank accounts, and the custody battle to come. There will be free soda and popcorn served during the movie. This is a free event.

If you are like me, you cannot wait for the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 3, which will premiere on Netflix on January 24.

Part Three finds Sabrina reeling from the harrowing events of Part Two. Though she defeated her father Lucifer, the Dark Lord remains trapped within the human prison of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas Scratch. Sabrina can’t live with herself, knowing that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice and is suffering, burning in Hell under Madam Satan’s watchful eye. So with an assist from her mortal friends, “The Fright Club” (consisting of Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo), Sabrina makes it her mission to free him from eternal damnation and bring him back into her arms. However, the Dark Lord’s unseating has sent shockwaves through the realms—and, with no one on the throne, Sabrina must assume the title of “Queen” to defend it against a challenger, the handsome Prince of Hell Caliban. Meanwhile, in Greendale, a mysterious carnival rolls into town, bringing with it a threat to the Spellmans and the coven: A tribe of pagans looking to resurrect an ancient evil.

I hope I don’t binge it in one weekend, but more than likely I will!
